Frequently Asked Questions
Review some commonly asked questions below.
What’s the difference between Salsa and Salsa On2?
The major difference between Salsa (Salsa On1) and Salsa On2 (Mambo) is the timing in which is danced. This creates a different feel for dancers and eventually a preference. Both share a lot of the same moves and techniques and look very similar to the eye of a non-dancer. Tampa is a predominantly Salsa (Salsa On1) scene but both styles are very popular all over the world.
What kind of clothing and shoes should I wear to class?
Dress comfortable. You may work up a sweat, so you can even wear gym clothes if you like. We recommend wearing dance shoes or heels with suede bottoms. If you do not own dance shoes, any comfortable shoes will work. Avoid shoes with rubber soles as they grip the floor and make turning difficult.
How do I book a place in the class?
You can register for classes online through our registration page. You can also call us directly at (813) 205-8587 to reserve your spot.
Is the studio available for rent or private parties?

I work better one on one, can I book a private lesson instead?
Absolutely! We offer individual, couples, or group private lessons tailored to your needs. Whether it is for a wedding, party, quinceañera, or personalized training, private lessons are ideal. Call (813) 205-8587 to book your private lesson today.
Do I need a partner to take classes?
No partner is needed! Many students come on their own. In class, we rotate partners so everyone gets a chance to dance with different people. This also helps you become a better social dancer.
What if I have no dance experience at all?
Our beginner courses are designed specifically for people with zero experience. We start from the very basics and build progressively each week. You will feel comfortable from day one in our supportive and fun environment.
